Rail Services, Incorporated is a railroad consulting firm involved with railroad logistics,
safety inspections, and railroad insurance claim investigation.

We are currently looking for a highly experienced railroad mechanical professional to work remotely as a full time consultant.
The right candidate will have hands on experience with railroad mechanical operations. This includes familiarity with AAR mechanical rules, wreck repairs, inspections,
and shop operations. The ability to write reports related to heavy equipment and rolling stock repairs is a critical skill.
This is a six figure ($100,000.00+) opportunity for the right person.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years hands on mechanical experience related specifically to locomotives and rail car repairs, or
combination of hands on and education.

Familiar with AAR Mechanical rules
Familiar with rolling stock wreck repairs
Familiar with inspections
Familiar with shop operations
Must be able to write comprehensive detailed reports related to heavy equipment and rolling stock
Must be able to determine appropriate repairs and make reasonable recommendations

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with derailments and grade crossing incidents
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience with both private rail repair shops and Class 1 repair shops
